The Playbook

90 pages. The full method for raising and selling in the United States as a European deeptech founder.

Where this sits: the Playbook is for understanding the terrain before you decide. To test your own readiness against it, the Decision tools. To work through your actual case, that's what I do with founders.

Not another generic guide. This playbook was built over two years of research. It draws on 57 in-depth interviews with founders, investors and ecosystem players on both shores. And on direct advisory work with startups making the crossing from Europe to the US.

It covers the full journey. How the French and American ecosystems differ. How to sequence non-dilutive and dilutive funding. How to structure the right entity and build a US go-to-market from France. How to reach the right networks. And how to avoid the mistakes most first-time founders make in the American market.

The full playbook is finished. Request access below and Galien sends it to you personally.

Questions the playbook answers

Start with conviction, not paperwork. The US market rewards speed, clarity and directness. Rebuild your product-market fit for an American buyer, map the ecosystem you're entering, structure a paid pilot, and get in front of industrial buyers from France first. Don't wait until you have moved.
In France, you have access to a non-dilutive stack that doesn't exist in the US: JEI status, CIR, Bpifrance grants, regional aid. Exhaust that stack before touching equity, especially before a US raise where dilution is steeper and the terms are different. The playbook details the sequencing.
The classic setup is a Delaware C-Corp as a US holding with the French SAS as a subsidiary, or a direct branch depending on your stage. The decision depends on timing, IP location, existing grants, and fundraising plans.
Polishing the application instead of the story. In France, a pitch is a stack of proof: grants, certifications, de-risked milestones. In the US, it reads as caution, not conviction. Same facts, opposite framing. Translating between the two systems is the first thing the advisory tackles.
